Beauty of Rumba

Good Evening!  I'm enjoying a relaxing night at home with my dogs, Terracotta Red leftovers, and a little web browsing.  While jumping between sites, I came across this video of Slavik and Karina performing a rumba at the 2004 World Superstars of Dance Festival.  It is breathtaking.




Just spectacular.  The first time I watched it, I couldn't take my eyes off of her feet and arms.

May Ballroom Classes & Events

I've been pretty productive today!  Premier Ballroom's April and May calendars are now online! I feel like I always get more work done if I workout first thing in the morning.

April Ballroom Classes & Events

Spring is here, and Summer is just around the corner.  Dancing is a great way to get your body bathing suit ready!

We have a new class layout for Spring quarter.  All of our classes are still open to drop in students.  We will be teaching the same dance for two/three weeks in a row.  This will help you learn more steps, technique, and styling in the same dance. It will be a new sequence each week, so you won't be lost if you miss one of the classes. This format will be a trial for this quarter.

Wednesday Night Salsa Class in Everett

Every Wednesday night at 7:30pm we teach a salsa group class at our studio, Premier Ballroom, in Everett.  It's open to the public, and is a great option for those of you who don't want to make the trek down to Seattle on a work night.  We have lots of free parking, and the class is only $12 a person.

Prior ballroom, latin, salsa, or any kind of dance experience is helpful, but not required.  If you don't have any dance experience we recommend starting with our Introductory Program.  It will give you a little one on one time with an instructor before jumping into a group class.  We don't want you to feel lost, frustrated, or confused.  Dancing is suppose to be fun!

Boeing Dance Night at Premier Ballroom

Boeing Dance Night at Premier Ballroom in Everett

1st Thursday of every month, current Boeing employees and a guest can enjoy a FREE group class* at Premier Ballroom. Thursday classes are perfect for beginner to intermediate dancers. No experience necessary. Singles and couples welcome!  Our group classes are all drop in, you do not need an appointment. 


The class starts at 7:30pm.  


Please arrive a few minutes early so you don't miss any of the instruction. 

*You must provide proof of current employment.

Dance professionals and students are a chatty bunch.  Over the years we've learned that if you don't want something to be public knowledge, don't share it with anyone.  It's easy to open up at the after parties at competitions or at social dances, but like the quote says, most people are just curious.  We are lucky to have a few real friends in the professional dance community, but sad to say, there have been others that just want the latest gossip.

I'm always amazed how quickly news travels.

Winter Showcase 2012

Home safe and sound from a play weekend in Vegas.  Total coincidence that the Vegas Open was the same weekend.  It was my first time there.  I had no idea it was so big!  We saw The Blue Man Group, Zumanity, and (for Nathan) The Price is Right.  It was so much fun!

So now it's back to work.  Here are some pictures from our Winter Showcase, courtesy of VRistine Photography.  Valerie has so much natural talent.  Her pictures always blow us away.

Showcase was a great success!  100 people came to support our studio.  All of the dancers looked and danced wonderfully!  We are so proud. :)
